THE LEXUS CERTIFICATION PROCESS

Under the Hood.
  • Electrical and mechanical components, including battery, water pumps and belts, are examined and adjusted, to operate as designed.
Road Test.
  • Engine, transmission, brakes, handling and suspension are road-tested to meet new-vehicle standards.
Wheels.
  • Tire alignment, chassis, subframe and frame rails are closely inspected for excessive wear or damage.
Interior.
  • Audio systems, power windows and locks are maintained. Front and rear-seat upholstery is rigorously inspected for imperfecitons and refurbished.
Exteior.
  • Paint finish is meticulously examined to ensure optimal surface appearance.
Safety.
  • Seatbelts, headlamps, turn signals, cornering lamps and taillamp lenses must meet Lexus working standards.
